There are only two types of Tales of Arise figures. In addition, the limited, highly sought-after collection is easy to distinguish from other “Tales” figurines.

So, I’ll share how you can recognize and differentiate “Tales” collectible figures. Also, I’ll share tips on how to store them for gamers who might not be long-time collectors. Furthermore, every figure has ups and downs, and I’m not partial to the facts. But first, let me share my ultimate collectible from the Tales of Arise game.

The Kotobukiya Tales of Arise Rinwell Scale Figure is my ultimate favorite for two main reasons. Firstly, it’s the only figure you can find for the playable character called Rinwell. Secondly, it’s a scale collectible figure, of which there aren’t many for Tales of Arise. So, the Rinwell figure ticks gamer’s and collector’s boxes.

However, I have some more incredible Tales of Arise figures to share before you dive into the collector’s details.

Unfortunately, you won’t find many Tales of Arise figures this year, but more will come because they’re popular. There are already two famous types of figurines from the game. So, glance at my top pick from the two available types before you learn everything you need to know about Tales of Arise figures.

1. The Kotobukiya Tales of Arise Alphen Scale Figure is my second favorite of the game’s choices. It’s also the only other scale figure available and shows one of the primary playable characters.
2. The Banpresto Q Posket Tales of Arise Shionne Figure (Vers. B) is my top pick from the smaller figurine series. In addition, Shionne is another famous playable character always at Alphen’s side.

A Complete Guide to the Best Tales of Arise Figures

Tales of Arise is another rising RPG for gamers and fans of role-playing editions. It reminds me a lot of Final Fantasy, but there’s an entire franchise behind the “Tales” part of the title. So, let’s learn to recognize which “Tales” figures are available for the game, both types available, and how to store them properly.

Removing “Arise” From the Tales Franchise

Tales of Arise is an action-packed RPG on various game platforms. It’s trending among gamers, offering a new “Tales” world of adventures. Bandai Namco created the phenomenal game. Namco is the creator of Resident Evil. In addition, Bandai is well-known for Tekken, Guilty Gear, and One-Piece Oddysey, legendary games.

Tales of Arise is the seventeenth game in the “Tales” franchise, with other titles including Tales of Beseria and Tales of Vesperia. Each game’s underlying story is similar. In addition, each game has multiplayer fun, except for Tales of Arise, which removes the multiplayer factor to focus on interactions between combat characters.

Furthermore, the game has nothing to do with other Tales games. However, it has a unique edge, creator Yusuke Tomizawa explains. The game features better lighting and new animation, creating a more realistic effect than other “Tales” games. Combat and lifelike clarity are the main goals of this “Tales” feature game.

I’m sharing the differences for a reason. Tales of Arise is famous, meaning you’ll find more collectible figures over the coming months. However, you must be careful not to confuse the game’s figures with other “Tales” games unless you plan to collect figures for the entire “Tales” franchise.

For example, the Alter Tales of Vesperia Yuri Lowell’s Figure comes from an alternate “Tales” role-playing adventure. It’s a phenomenal collector’s piece for scale figures and Tales of Vesperia. Still, it’s not for a collector focusing on Tales of Arise scale figures. Similarly, the Tales of Beseria Velvet Crowe Figure is gorgeous.

Unfortunately, the Tales of Beseria scale figure is from another universe. It has incredible collectible details but won’t fit into a Tales of Arise figure collection. Alternatively, you can collect the “Tales” game franchise figures, but that’s not what I’m writing about today. So instead, I’m here to focus on the Tales of Arise game.

Collectible Qualities for Tales of Arise Figures

So, what makes the best Tales of Arise figures? Indeed, you won’t find many because the game’s merch is still entering the collector’s arena. However, some Tales of Arise figures will blow your gamer’s mind. In addition, the figures are gorgeous collectibles to appeal to fans like me. So, how much should you know about them?

So far, you’ll find two main types of collectible figures for Tales of Arise. Firstly, you’ll find the Q Posket figure range, which includes chibi-styled figures of the game’s characters. Banpresto makes these gorgeous figures that measure roughly less than six inches. They look ideal for anime fans who enjoy chibi-style collectibles.

Each Banpresto Q Posket figure has two variations, each with a slight change to the figure. Alternatively, you’ll find scale figures from Kotobukiya. The Tales of Arise scale figures also have limited numbers for now, but they appeal more to gamers than anime fans. These figures look more serious than the characters do in the games.

The Kotobukiya figures have zero articulation, whereas the Q Postet figures look like they have articulation points and may be confused with action figures. However, I assure you they have none and are figurines, not action figures. Furthermore, Banpresto uses PVC and ABS materials to make their Q Posket figure range.

Meanwhile, Kotobukiya uses more solid PVC models. Finally, the Kotobukiya figure range tends to be larger, averaging around eight inches to match 1/8 scales. So, two types of figures come from Tales of Arise. You can either collect both or stick to one kind. Ultimately, both figurines are excellent collectibles.

Tips for Storing Tales of Arise Figures Properly

It doesn’t matter which Tales of Arise figures you collect. You’ll need to store both types to ensure they last as long as your passion for the game does. Some collectors make a colossal mistake by wrapping figurines in plastic to keep them. However, this plastic-wrapped storage method causes them to deteriorate faster.

Even adding holes to the plastic doesn’t help because every type of plastic, a bag or a figurine, contains plasticizers that interact with each other. As a result, storing figures in plastic bags speeds up the deterioration of these collectibles.

So instead, I have some valuable tips for keeping PVC and ABS figurines to prevent corrosion. Use the following information to keep your figures in pristine condition:

1. Always choose a display away from direct sunlight and harsh temperatures to avoid fading. Also, keep your Tales of Arise figurines away from windows and heat sources.
2. Dust your Tales of Arise figurines regularly with soft make-up brushes to prevent residue from building up in seemingly unreachable areas, especially on the Q Posket variations.
3. The best temperature in the display area is room temperature. Keep Tales of Arise figurines in a dry, cool room. A temperature of 70°F is ideal for figures.
4. Buy sealed figurine containers for your valuable statuettes. The perfect display and storage unit is a glass figurine display case that contains no plastic and keeps dust to a minimum. Alternatively, use individual glass cloche displays to keep your figurines beautiful.

How I Chose the Best Tales of Arise Figures

Finally, it’s time to share how I selected the best Tales of Arise figures. I chose every quality and collectible Tales of Arise figure available this year because they’re limited for now. I picked the best options among both types: Banpresto and Kotobukiya. Unfortunately, I won’t include other “Tales” figurines.

Tales of Arise figures aren’t widespread for now. However, I can tell you how valuable limited numbers are in a collector’s game. Also, consider how exclusive collectible figures are because only a few exist. So, don’t underestimate the collectibility of these figures for gamers and merch collectors. Nonetheless, let’s start.

Kotobukiya Tales of Arise Alphen Scale Figure

Alphen is one of the pinnacle playable characters in Tales of Arise. So, I’m happy he has a few fantastic collectible figures available. Unfortunately, the Dahnan character suffers from amnesia. However, he’s the legend who frees Shionne from her curse. In addition, the icon has brilliant fast artes that include firepower.

Meanwhile, Alphen’s scale figure has exquisite details with exceptional quality, including iron pieces that make him more durable. However, you must be careful about rust with iron pieces. So, avoid using water to clean the Alphen scale figurine. In the end, Kotobukiya did a brilliant job with Alphen’s flaming sword.

Kotobukiya Tales of Arise Rinwell Scale Figure

Rinwell’s scale figure is immaculate and impressive, representing a character yet to receive multiple figurines. Meanwhile, Rinwell is a playable character who uses magical artes and is likely the last mage of her Dahnan clan. Her in-game character is inspirational, and you have no choice but to ensure her success.

Additionally, Rinwell’s scale figure is glorious. The figurine captivates her mage essence entirely. She holds her magically dangerous sorcery book while wearing an outfit suitable for magicians and sorcerers. The figurine’s details are next-level, and her hand-crafted boots feel alive with depth of detail and character.

• Rinwell’s cape has similar fragile pieces and might break with excessive handling

Banpresto Q Posket Tales of Arise Alphen Figure (Vers. A)

Banpresto’s Q Posket figure series is a contender against Funko and Nendoroid because they create smaller, more detailed figurines. In contrast, Funko and Nendoroid focus more on chibi-style figures. Q Posket figurines are also chibi-styled, but they feel less distorted and focus on improved detailing and hand-sculpting.

Nonetheless, Alphen has a Q Posket series figure that looks adorable. The head is barely bigger than the body, making you think it’s a realistic figure compared to the chibi-style of anime figures. However, the stylization is part of Alphen’s look, even if it’s minimal. Some similarities exist with Funko, but this Alphen is more realistic.

Banpresto Q Posket Tales of Arise Alphen Figure (Vers. B)

Banpresto makes a second variant for Alphen, the leading character in Tales of Arise. The primary difference between the two variations is that this figure has white armor. Admittedly, the white armor is gorgeous, but it will be a nightmare to keep clean if you don’t store the figurine in a glass display case.

However, Banpresto did another impressive job with this Alphen figure that looks exactly like the first version, except for the white armor. The details break through more than other anime-styled figures, and the eyes look more realistic than most of the options from this game. Alphen looks like he means business.

• Keeping white figurines clean is undoubtedly a challenge
• There aren’t enough differences between the two variants

Banpresto Q Posket Tales of Arise Shionne Figure (Vers. A)

I’m shocked that Kotobukiya hasn’t produced a scale figure for Shionne because she belongs with the other two heroes. Indeed, the poor girl was cursed, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t deserve a collectible figurine. At least Banpresto understood her value in the game. I hope Kotobukiya does the same next year.

However, Shionne has a terrible curse in the game’s beginning because no one can touch her, even Alphen. Fortunately, her curse goes away toward the game’s end. Shionne is an incredible character and playable legend. Her figure’s first variation represents her in-game character better than the second one.

Banpresto Q Posket Tales of Arise Shionne Figure (Vers. B)

I enjoy sad storylines, which should be sad, but everyone does. So, Shionne’s story is far more profound than most of the playable characters in Tales of Arise. She rises to the challenge, overcoming her trials. Shionne’s tough exterior gets her down in the game’s beginning, but she learns to adapt and overcome.

Nonetheless, Shionne’s second Q Posket figure variation shows her in a black outfit that would suit her initial character better. In addition, I’m happy to own figurines with darker colors because I can keep them perfect for longer. So, I prefer Shionne’s second variation because of the color change, which is the only difference.

They promise a December launch, but it’s never guaranteed. So, you’ll want to be one of the first in line to get your Tales of Arise figure.
